shopping centre colour test

I've chosen one of the thumbnails to test for colour and texture

Shopping centre front- Thumbnails

I chose three that i thought stood out, but this will probably change. I've tried to stay faithful to the concept and what
I know about the old lady.

Photostrip prop ideas

Her are some different types of photo strip styles. I haven't added much detailed with the characters, but that doesn't mean that we can't have a clear image for the final film

Knitting Needle Design Ideas - Wai-Han Lau

Feather Duster Ideas - Rob

Was given the job of designing a feather duster to be used in the introduction; from silhouettes I have drawn up three that look like interesting designs and tried to simplify them. Also have tried to simplify their basic shapes and think about colour for them.

[YEAR 3] The Couple Characters turnarounds

These characters were also inspired by the look of cartoon network/Craig McCracken style works along and also some puppets/muppets.

Character Bio:
Name: Helen
Age: 20ish
Personality: She is a bubbly, friendly character who doesn't get angry easily.

Character Bio:
Name: Fred
Age: 20ish
Personality: He is a friendly guy, quite shy and doesn't say a lot. Is a bit of a push over since he doesn't have a lot of opinions. Helen controls him most of the time.

[Design: House Opening Background] - Rob Gray

Background design: 2nd Attempt
Following on from the last attempt and background art I had a second attempt, on Neil’s suggestion I went back to looking at a wider range of influences than Peregoy.
Decided to take a closer look at Cartoon Network backgrounds (Powerpuff Girls, Foster Home for Imaginary Friends in particular); backgrounds in Chomet films; some of the backgrounds and imagery used in Monster’s inc for the particular style and use of colour; and though much less relevant in style I took a look at backgrounds and concept art used in Ghost in the Shell, I thought it was necessary to look at this to get a better idea of how to create a realistic building, I was also inspired by the use of texture in these pieces.
Began building up the set out of block shapes, saving versions with and without line, though I overall prefer the lined version.
