BG 20 guide - Wai- Han Lau

I made sure the perspective made it so the bus was straight on, this is a guide for the animators and for Jen (who is designing the bus).

Bus Stop Backgrounds - Wai-Han Lau

All bus stop backgrounds except the shots with just the bus, I've also made slight alterations to the background 10 (below) so I'm uploading that as well.

BUSSTOP BG perspective tests- Wai Han Lau:

Here I have uploaded these perspective rough shots for the Bus Stop scene's backgrounds for Emma to give feedback on. To avoid confusion, I've numbered the whole shots from 02 to 11 for just this scene.

Maybe have the camera zoom out so we can bring the bus stop roof higher (so Helen doesn't look so tall)
This is from Edith's POV, so Helen is seen at a low angle - thus the clouds and sky

Bus stop according to the animatic

Bus stop vers02, where it would be a two-lane street
I used Maya as a guide to draw the perspective and to make sure the bus would appear flat and square so it wouldn't be difficult to animate. Here I have used a cube which is moving farther away just like the bus:

Shot18/BG10 Bus stop Version 03 + 04 - Wai-Han Lau

Version 03

After much deliberation, I felt like my background didn't fit into Emma Garner's style and I didn't want to spoil the film if it looked out of place. After asking Emma G for feedback, she gave me a lot of useful tips on how she painted her backgrounds such as adding thin outlines and utilising the line tool to make sharper, staighter lines.

Version 04
Made the bus stop darker and took away the outline for the bus stop sign as Emma M (director) requested
