Shot42

I looked at some referencing for buses pulling away. There was this rumble that shook the bus which i attempted but it isn't very convincing. Its to exaggerated.

After seeking some advice, the bus rather than move up and down, should rotate and the wheel so not move, but remain static. I'll make these corrections as well as replace the bus with a transparent background

Scene01: Shot07

After showing Charlotte the photo strip scene she told me make some corrections.

The photo strip was too bendy, it made the paper look more like A4

Rough Shot 22 Version 04 - Wai-Han Lau

With Charlotte's suggestion, I moved Helens face slightly near the end. I will add in hair and bag movement when I animate the proper shot

Rough Shot 25 Version 01 - Wai-Han Lau

A rough of Shot 25, the bus was designed by Jen. I realised I haven't animated a walk (straight-on) in 2D before. After the taking the bus away, I feel like I might have exaggerated Helen's hips a bit too much.

Altered Edith's head movement, so her eyes follow the bag. I wanted her to watch the bag go down as well but it looked too jolty.

Rough Shot 22 Version 02 - Wai-Han Lau

Charlotte suggested making Helen pull the bag up so that it draws attention to it, I'm also thinking of making Edith's eyes solely fixated on the bag (following it go up and down) and then look up to Helen - which leads into the next shot (shot 23).

Helen's movements are only blocked at the moment, after filming reference I found that I had to tone down her movements compared to how I acted it out which involved a bigger pose but felt unnatural for her.

Rough Shot 22 Version 01 - Wai-Han Lau

I wanted Edith to have a slower realisation when she tilts her head at first and then it's a quicker "huh?". I also wanted Helen to be doing something but ,of course, not to take the attention away from Edith.

Mall Backgrounds [REVISED] - Wai-Han Lau

From Emma (director)'s request, I have made the pillars darker and added brick texture so it blends in better with the other backgrounds. We've realised that BG 40 and 42 are the same backgrounds so I'm just going to leave BG 42 out.

Second pass at the Shopping centre

The vines weren't really working with the rest of the design so i added posters onto the walls instead.
